Characteristic of Erwin Heerich’s work are its geometric forms and mathematical rigor. The design of this exhibition responds directly to these qualities.

The space is subdivided by metal scaffolding tubes connected with couplers. This lightweight construction contrasts with Heerich’s massive, at times bombastic works.

The floor plan is based on a grid, a recurring principle in Heerich’s drawings, maquettes, and sculptures.

This contrast is further extended in the spatial zoning. Lightly transparent white fabrics separate the different zones, creating a layered viewing experience.

Rather than being confronted abruptly with the next work, the visitor is offered a suggestive glimpse of what lies ahead. This evokes curiosity and invites movement through the space.
